Making Candles At Home
The basic material in candle making is wax. So many types of wax available that is from paraffin wax to soy wax, even you can choose bee wax as it melts soon.
Different wax has different melting point like paraffin wax melts between 122 and 140 degree Fahrenheit,soy wax melts between 170 and 180 degree Fahrenheit, Bee wax melts at 145 degree roughly. So, first be sure that what kind of wax you are going to use.
Now all you need is colours or dye of desired colour to make candles more attractive. It is recommended to use a dye that is formulated to candle wax which is easily available in market. Now you need braided cotton called wicks which will be placed in the middle of each candle where the candle is lighted.
Next you need is mould of your desired shape as it enhance the shape and perfect finish of the candle. Thermometer is must as it necessary to measure the temperature.Hammer or knife can be used to remove extra wax.
STEP :1 Place the wax to a numerical temperature gauge or Saucepan and heat it accordingly.While heating use thermometer to check the temperature. Make sure your are not over
STEP :2 Once wax is melted to its maximum melting point remove from heat and add desire colour dye and stir it. If needed you can mix fragrance oil while adding the colour.
STEP :3 Place the wick in the middle of the molders or metal wick holder and pour the melted
STEP :4 Allow the wax in the candle holder to cool, if the wax runs out remove it using knife.
STEP :5 Once it is cooled completely remove it from the mould gently. Trim the bottom of the candle using hot pan. Now your can is ready. Burn it and enjoy.
